How to Buy a House
We have designed this guide for you, the first time home buyer, using our years of experience in real estate.
Each one of the steps is designed to explain to you what to do and how to do it.
It is our goal that by the time you are finished reading this guide you will have a firm understanding of how the home buying process works, and what you can expect along the way to buying your first home.
We have created this guide with the following steps:
1. What is your credit rating? How to find out your credit rating score, the minimum credit score required for a mortgage, and ways to increase your credit score.
2. Find first time home buyer loans. What you need to know about how to find a first time home buyer loan, how to find a mortgage broker and what you need to consider in choosing a mortgage broker.
3. Research the Market. There are a lot of resources for you to use to become familiar with the housing market where you live, we show you ones we use.
4. Find a Realtor©. A good real estate agent will help guide you through the home buying process.
5. Write offer(s). How do you submit an offer to buy your first home?
6. Open Escrow. Explains what escrow is, what a title company is, and what to do once escrow is opened.
7. Sign closing documents and get the keys to your new house! You will be signing so many papers your hand will get tired, and we explain what it is that you are signing.
It really can be as easy as this! Each of the steps are fully explained and show you resources to help you buy your home.
If you are ready to start, begin with finding your credit rating.
