Las Vegas Realtors – How to Find One

You have probably heard the term Realtor and automatically thought about a real estate agent, assuming they meant the same thing.

They are different terms – a real estate agent is a person who is licensed by the state they live in to practice real estate and a Realtor is a member of the National Association of Realtors.

In Las Vegas almost all residential real estate agents belong to the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors (GLVAR), making them Realtors.

Interview Realtors in Las Vegas

Good Realtors in Las Vegas will use all the tools available to find new clients. By contacting them through methods such as this you stand a better chance of meeting a tech savvy agent who treats being an agent like a profession.

Be aware of the agent who has another job. Being a real estate agent is a full time profession with no time left for a “real” job. You want somebody who dedicates 100% of their time to the job representing you.

Interview agents like you are hiring them, because you are. Ask questions such as:

  • How long have you worked in real estate?
  • How long have you been with your broker?
  • How many sales have you closed in the past year?
  • How many sales have you closed in the past month?
  • What makes you different than any of the other agents I could choose from?

The agent will be working for you so if you are not comfortable with them, find another.

You do not have to pay any up front costs with a real estate agent. They only get paid when the sale closes. If one asks for money up front, don’t just walk away, run.

You will be spending a lot of time with your real estate agent so make sure they are somebody you get along with.
